“In God’s economy, we believe first and then see.” – Joyce Meyer
We walk by faith, not by sight.
I wish that the way I feel did not have such a powerful effect on me. If we could see first then believe, it would be so much easier.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God. He wants us to come to the place where we have so much trust in Him that its easy to believe and then see.
It takes practice and maturity (experience) to find that place of trust. Some may never arrive there, and it could be a long journey for others.
It’s an upside down Kingdom. In any other area of life, you would be crazy to trust and not verify first. Although the trustworthiness of God has already been verified through the history of time, God’s Word is true and His ways are higher than ours.
Sure and certain are two words that describe faith. You come to a place where you are so certain of God’s character and goodness… that you are sure that He’s going to honor His Word and His promises. You are expecting that He will come through at any moment.
This Christian walk can not be accomplished without faith. It takes believing to finish this race.
In God’s economy, faith is the most valuable thing we possess. In Mark 9:23 Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Check Yourself
“Some people are more afraid of doing something wrong than they are enthusiastic to do what is right.” – Joyce Meyer
Romans 16:19 says, “Be excellent at what is good, be innocent of evil.”
Is it time to check yourself?
We need to be really good at doing what is right. When you strive to do the right thing all of the time, sometimes criticism will come with it. You may be called, “Holier than thou” or a “Holy Roller”, but you cannot let that stop you.
Anything you do you should do it with all your might. We need to be enthusiastic about everything we do for the Lord.
Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
When we live our lives for Christ in an excellent way we draw people to the Lord. When they see you have peace and joy in the middle of a stormy trial, they want that same peace and joy.
We are the light of the world. People in darkness are drawn to the light in you if it burns bright enough.
Don’t try to hide your light. Put something flammable on it, so it burns longer and more brightly.
It is easy to become religious or mechanical after serving the Lord for a long period of time. We can forget why we are even doing what we’re doing.
We have to shake ourselves sometimes. If we find ourselves serving God out of routine or even fear, we need to get back to serving God out of a deep, passionate love for Him instead. Sometimes we need to check ourselves.
